Privacy policy

In short: the Blocky Gang app collects no personal data. It works offline, with no account, no ads and no analytics. Your best score, skins and settings stay on your iPhone.

This policy covers the Blocky Gang iPhone app and the blockygang.fr website. It is written under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law.

2. In the app

Nothing collected

• No account: you never provide a username, email address or password.
• No connection to our servers: the app sends no data, to us or to anyone else.
• No ads, no analytics tools (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook SDK or similar), no cross-app advertising tracking.
• No access to your contacts, photos, location or microphone. The app records neither sound nor images.

What stays on your iPhone

So you can pick up where you left off, the app stores in your iPhone's storage: your best score, the number of clean boards, the skins you've unlocked and the one equipped, and your settings (sounds, music, haptics, Capture mode, reduce motion). This data never leaves the device and is erased when you delete the app.

Motion sensors

The gyroscope is used in real time to slide reflections across the blocks when you tilt your phone. These readings are neither stored nor sent.

Score image

The IMAGE button creates a picture of your score on your iPhone. It is only shared if you pick a destination in the iOS share sheet; the app or service you choose then applies its own privacy policy.

Apple crash reports

If you agreed to share analytics with app developers (iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements), Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and aggregated usage statistics. We only use them to fix bugs. This sharing is managed by Apple and you can turn it off at any time.

3. On blockygang.fr

• No cookies, no analytics, no ads. Fonts are hosted on our own servers: your browser contacts no third-party service.
• Like any web server, ours keeps technical logs (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser) for security and troubleshooting. They are kept for 12 months at most.

4. When you email us

If you contact us by email, we use your address and the content of your message to reply (legal basis: legitimate interest). We keep them while handling your request, then for 3 years at most.

5. Hosting and recipients

The website is hosted in France by OVH SAS (2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France). No data is sold, rented or shared with third parties, and none leaves the European Union because of us.

6. Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Since the app collects no data, we hold nothing about you through it; for emails you sent us, write to contact@blockygang.fr. You can also contact the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).

7. Children

Blocky Gang is suitable for all ages. Since the app collects no data, it collects none from children either.

8. Changes

If the app changes in a way that affects the above, this page will be updated before the new version ships. The date at the bottom shows the last change.
