Playing
How do I play?
Three pieces wait below the 8 × 8 grid. Drag one onto the grid: its outline shows where it will land. A full row or column clears. Once all three pieces are placed, three new ones arrive. The game ends when no piece fits anymore.
How does scoring work?
Each block you place earns 1 point. Each row or column you clear earns 10 points times your combo, with a bonus when you clear several at once. Emptying the whole grid adds 300 points.
What is the combo?
Your combo grows when you clear several lines at once and when you keep clearing move after move. It drops as soon as a move clears nothing. The banner goes from COMBO to SUPER, MEGA, INSANE, then LEGENDARY.
How do I pause?
Tap the pause button at the top right. In Capture mode the interface is hidden: long-press the score to open the pause menu or quit.
Skins
How do I unlock a skin?
Clear the whole grid. Every clean board unlocks the next skin and equips it right away. The number of skins you've unlocked is shown at the bottom of the home screen.
I didn't get the Halloween (or Christmas, or Summer) skin
Seasonal skins can only be unlocked during their window: Halloween from October 15 to November 2, Christmas from December 10 to 31, Summer from June 21 to August 31. Clear a board during the window to get it.
Capture mode and sharing
What is Capture mode for?
It gets the screen ready to film or play live on TikTok: hidden UI, a huge score, a 9:16 frame and the bottom of the screen left free. Turn it on with the CAPTURE button on the home screen or in Settings. The game doesn't record anything itself: use iOS screen recording or the app of your choice.
How do I share my score?
When a game ends, tap IMAGE: Blocky Gang creates a 9:16 card with your score, final grid, best combo and clean boards, then opens the iOS share sheet (TikTok, Instagram, Messages, Photos…).
Settings
Turn off sounds, music or haptics
Open Settings from the home screen, or the pause menu during a game. Background music is off by default. Note that your iPhone's silent mode doesn't mute the game: use the Sounds setting. Your own music keeps playing while you play.
The animations are too much
Turn on Reduce motion in Settings: no more 3D, slow motion, screen shake or confetti.
The game isn't in my language
Blocky Gang follows your iPhone's language among 11 languages: English, French, German, Spanish (Spain and Mexico), Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Turkish, Arabic, Japanese and Korean. To change it: iPhone Settings > Apps > Blocky Gang > Language.
Data and device
I lost my best score or my skins
Your best score, skins and settings are stored only on your iPhone: there is no account and no online backup. Deleting the app erases this data and we cannot recover it.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Blocky Gang works fully offline, with no account and no ads.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app: everything it stored goes with it. We hold no data about you (see the privacy policy).
